RICHMOND (NEWS1130) – Richmond Mounties have arrested a 33 year old woman after a suspected baby shaking incident.
Last week, a one year old girl was dropped off at the Strong Start Centre on Mitchell Island and seemed fine, but after she went down for a nap, staff couldn’t wake her up. The baby is still in hospital in critical, but stable condition.
Aggravated assault charges have been recommended against the caregiver, who has been released on a promise to appear. Her first court appearance is set for January 28th.
