Police are looking to the public for help in finding the suspect who directed a laser pointer at planes coming into YYC Wednesday night.
Around 6pm, police were called to the Shawnessy Shopping Centre area after pilots of several aircraft reported a laser being shone into the cockpits of their aircraft.
The HAWCS helicopter and ground crews were sent out but to no avail.
Duty Inspector Paul Stacey tells 660News, whomever is responsible may not realize the trouble they could cause, and that they put lives in jeopardy.
Stacey adds it was a green laser and police have a rough idea of where it was being pointed from.
The suspect is described as an adult male with a dog, and was spotted leaving the area in a Jeep Cherokee-type vehicle.
