SURREY (NEWS1130) – Police have identified the 24-year-old Surrey woman who was attacked and killed at the offices of an Indo-Canadian newspaper Thursday morning as Ravinder Bhangu.

The attack happened at the offices of the Sach Di Awaaz newspaper. Bhangu’s husband of two years has been arrested and will be charged with murder. “He was taken into custody, and he will be going to court in the morning,” says Sgt. Jennifer Pound with I-HIT.

Another man in the office was hurt and is in hospital.

Harjinder Thind with the Indo-Canadian radio station Red-FM is hearing more details about a troubled relationship between the victim and suspect.

“She had left her husband. Apparently her husband was very upset. He was suspecting her of infidelity,” he says, adding that he’s not sure if the woman worked at the newspaper.
