The RCMP has apologized for not doing more to catch serial killer Robert Pickton.
At the inquiry into the Pickton case, witnesses have accused police of ignoring their concerns about missing relatives and also missing the signs that the Port Coquitlam pig farmer was a suspect.
Assistant commissioner Craig Callens says he would like to express to victims’ family members how very sorry he is for their loss.
Callens says the RCMP’s investigation practices have improved since 1998.
