Body found in South Surrey

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – A second body today has been found in South Surrey.
Shortly before 3:00 this afternoon, RCMP were called about a body discovered in a ditch on 176th Street near 36th Avenue.
It was found by people walking by. No word on a cause of death yet, but Mounties did say that the body appeared to have been in the water for quite some time.
Surrey Detachment’s Major Crime Unit, the LMD Forensic Unit, and the LMD Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service have all been called in to investigate.
Meanwhile, Homicide investigators have taken over the case after a man’s body was found in the parking lot of a Safeway in Surrey.
Officers say they have very limited information right now but are calling his death “suspicious”.
IHIT says they are trying to figure out who the man is and how and when he got there.
