Port Alberni mourns former mayor

PORT ALBERNI (NEWS 1130) — Flags in Port Alberni are flying at half mast Sunday, following the death of a former mayor.
Gillian Trumper passed away on Friday at age 83, following complications from renal failure.
She spent more than two decades in politics, including a run as MLA for Alberni – Qualicum.
Trumper was also the first female mayor to receive the honour of Freedom of the City.
