24 foot RV goes up in flames in east Vancouver

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — An RV was engulfed by flames Saturday evening in east Vancouver, but the fire department says it appears to be unoccupied.

Vancouver Fire Rescue Service said the large motorhome was completely consumed, and estimated it would take crews about an hour to douse it.

A spokesperson says there is “no indication at this time” of anyone inside, or of any injuries to anyone

The RV was parked on Evans Avenue which runs parallel to Terminal Avenue, near the East 1st Avenue overpass.

Callers to NEWS 1130 say they could see the flames from blocks away on Clark Drive near Broadway.

The fire department says the cause is not yet known.
