COVID-19 outbreak declared at Vancouver’s Mount Saint Joseph Hospital

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Vancouver’s Mount Saint Joseph Hospital is the 11th acute care facility in B.C. to have an active outbreak of COVID-19.

A notice shared online by Vancouver Coastal Health shows it is linked to the 3C unit.

Providence Health has confirmed two patients in unit 3-C have tested positive and at this point, no staff are infected.

The bulletin says restrictions were imposed on Jan. 11.

No other parts of the hospital are impacted, so the general medicine ward is the only division not accepting new patients.
