Armoured truck crash in Surrey leaves one dead, one in hospital

An armoured transport company is confirming one of its employees died in a vehicle crash in Surrey on Saturday.
“GardaWorld is deeply saddened by the tragic road accident that occurred on Trans-Canada Highway,” they wrote in an online statement Saturday.
One other employee was injured and transported to the hospital, added Gardaworld.
The crash happened at 192nd and Highway 1 around 2:00 p.m.

Gardaworld is offering up its sympathies to the affected families and says it is cooperating with the police investigation into the incident.
“Our thoughts and prayers, and our deepest condolences, go out to the friends and family of our employee, as well as colleagues affected by this terrible tragedy,” wrote the company. “We wish a prompt recovery to our employee in hospital.”
