Mounties in Surrey have announced a series of charges in relation to a sexual assault and break and enter last week.
The RCMP says a woman called police on Saturday, reporting that a stranger had broken into her home and attacked her. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries, police added.
“This was a very serious and traumatic incident, that impacted the feeling of safety and security in our community,” said Surrey RCMP Cpl. Vanessa Munn.
Police shared CCTV images of a suspect on Tuesday, with an arrest made the next day.
