Human remains found in Cloverdale: Surrey RCMP

Police in Surrey say human remains were found in Cloverdale Wednesday afternoon.
The Surrey RCMP says officers were called to a “wooded area on an empty lot,” near the area of 190 Street and the Fraser Highway.
Mounties say the Integrated Forensic Identification Team has been called in, along with the BC Coroner Service.
“Police are working to identify the deceased individual, and will be liaising with the Coroner, who will determine possible cause of death,” the release reads.
“It is too early in the investigation to determine whether or not criminality is a factor,” it adds.
