Vancouver police investigate woman’s body found in DTES tent

Vancouver police are looking to identify a woman whose body was found in a tent in the city’s Downtown Eastside neighbourhood Sunday.

According to the Vancouver Police Department (VPD), officers were called to an area near Main Street and Hastings Street after Vancouver Fire Rescue Services put out a fire at a tent and found the body inside.

Police say the cause of the woman’s death is under investigation, however, adding it looks like she died before the fire started.
