Mounties are looking for a suspect after an 85-year-old man was assaulted at a Coquitlam park nearly three months ago.
The Coquitlam RMCP says the senior was walking alone in Pioneer Park on Saturday, March 18 around 11 a.m. when he was reportedly approached by a stranger who was walking a pair of dogs.
“The suspect man dropped the leashes and the dogs ran towards the victim. The victim attempted to distance himself with his walking-cane from the dogs, when the suspect ran towards the victim and punched him in the face,” an RCMP release reads.
Mounties say the senior was seriously hurt.
