British Columbia’s police watchdog has been called in after a motorcyclist collided with a police cruiser Wednesday evening, according to police.
In a news release from the Port Moody Police Department, it explains a frontline officer tried to pull over a motorcyclist around 6:30 p.m.
However, police say the rider didn’t stop and tried to drive away. The motorcyclist ended up colliding with a police vehicle at the intersection of Glenayre Drive and Valour Drive.
Police say the person is hurt and was taken to the hospital, and note their injuries are non-life-threatening.
