Police investigating eight potentially linked South Surrey break-ins

Mounties say they’re investigating eight South Surrey break-ins throughout August and believe “the incidents are likely related.”
The Surrey RCMP says all of the thefts happened in similar areas and involved a similar type of vehicle being driven into a business to gain access.
The most recent theft happened at 3:44 a.m. on Thursday, and police say the thieves backed a stolen white GMC pickup truck into a business on Beecher Street and left it at the scene.

Police have seized the vehicle and say a “forensic examination” will be conducted on it, adding that it is confirmed to have been stolen in Langley on Wednesday.

- August 1, 2023, at 4:50 a.m. in the 15300 block of Croydon Drive;
