$1 million lottery ticket sold in B.C. will expire soon if unclaimed

It’s time to check that old crumpled Lotto 6/49 ticket in your car, there’s a chance it just might be more important than you think.
If you bought a lottery ticket in Maple Ridge, B.C. in September 2022 and didn’t end up checking it, there’s a chance that $1 million might still be on the table.
Well the BC Lottery Corporation says someone’s luck may soon run out, as the owner of this unchecked lottery ticket will be honoured until Sept. 28 — one year to the date it was drawn as the winner of the gold ball draw.
As the corporation explains, it honours each ticket for 52 weeks.
