The whereabouts of the driver of a semi truck that hit North Vancouver’s Dollarton Highway overpass Sept. 19 are still unknown.
CityNews has reached out to the North Vancouver RCMP for an update numerous times but hasn’t heard back. At last word, the Mounties said they were still looking to speak to the driver.
CityNews did reach out to Whistler Courier Services, the Squamish-based trucking company that that owns the semi, for comment.

An employee who wasn’t authorized to speak to the media said they were concerned for the driver’s well-being, and hadn’t heard from him since the crash.
Meanwhile, Whistler Courier and Freightways was hit with a $3,500 fine for the incident. The province also suspended its entire fleet of trucks for a week. That suspension was lifted Sept. 27.
The province says the driver didn’t have a permit when the incident happened.
A social media post from Whistler Courier and Freightways also thanked its customers for their patience while the company completed a safety audit.
This incident marked just one of many this year in which a truck struck an overpass. In 2023 alone, according to government data, 11 overpass strikes were reported around the province.
