Burnaby Mounties looking for robbery suspect

Police in Burnaby are asking for the public’s help to find a suspect they believe robbed a man in late September.
The Burnaby RCMP says the incident happened on Sept. 27 in a parkade just before 1:30 a.m. near Dominion Street and Sumner Avenue.
Police say the victim was sitting in his car when the suspect allegedly opened his car door, assaulted him, and then stole $3,300 in cash.


“Extensive patrols were conducted in the area; however, the suspect was not located,” Corp. Michael Kalanj said in a statement Thursday.
“This type of crime can be traumatic to the victims and their families
,” Kalanj added. “Please contact our investigators if you have any information that can assist in identifying this individual.

Photos released by police of the wanted suspect show him wearing a black jacket, black Adidas sweatpants with white stripes on the side, and a black hat.
Mounties are urging anyone who may have information regarding the robbery, or know the identity of the suspect, to call Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999.
