Vancouver Public Library releases lists of top borrowed books in 2023

The Vancouver Public Library has released lists of its most borrowed books in 2023, and this year, 101 Essays That Will Change the Way You Think by Brianna Wiest — a book of self-help essays — took the top spot for adult books.

This was followed by Prince Harry’s autobiography, Spare.

For teens, the top book was A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, followed by Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, a prequel to The Hunger Games trilogy.

Seven of the top 10 books for children were books from Jeff Kinney’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Also making that list was Good-bye Stacey, Good-bye: A Graphic Novel by Gabriela Epstein. Two Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling also made the list.

Anyone looking to check out any of these books may have to wait; according to the VPL website, many of them are all in use.
