A man from Maple Ridge was killed Sunday after a multi-vehicle crash along Highway 3, just west of Manning Park.
BC Highway Patrol Corp. Melissa Jongema says the crash was reported near Allison Park just before 12:20 p.m. Feb. 25.
Police say their preliminary investigation shows that weather conditions were “extremely poor” in the area at the time of the incident.
Jongema explains three vehicles were involved in the crash, including one commercial vehicle.
“The collision resulted in the fatal injury of a 59-year-old male from Maple Ridge,” she said. “The collision is still under investigation and criminality is not suspected.”
BC Emergency Health Services says five ambulances attended to the crash, and two patients were transported to hospital.
Jongema confirms the other two patients suffered “non-life threatening injuries.”
