Surrey pedestrian struck by vehicle early Friday

The Surrey RCMP says a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle along King George Boulevard Friday.

Mounties say the incident happened around 6 a.m.

“The pedestrian does not have any serious injuries and the driver remained on scene to speak with police,” Const. Parm Kahlon said in a statement to CityNews.

The collision closed King George Boulevard between 60 and 62 avenues temporarily while police investigated.

“The roads are now opened up and the investigation is ongoing,” Kahlon added.
