Just before 3 p.m. in an update, it said it did not have an estimated time for the highway reopening. Instead, it was asking drivers to take a two-hour detour.
The detours recommended to drivers were: “Highway 97C to Highway 5A to Princton to Highway 3 to Highway 3A to Penticton.”
In a final update just before 6 p.m., DriveBC said the highway was cleared and the fallen tree was removed.
