Skier missing from Kamloops resort has been found dead

The search for a skier who had gone missing from Sun Peaks Ski Resort near Kamloops has ended.

The RCMP had asked the public for help locating the man on Thursday, a day after he had been reported missing.

He was found dead in an area near the resort, police said Friday.

“No criminality is suspected in his death. The BC Coroners’ Service has been notified and is also investigating,” Mounties said.

“The Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP Detachment offers its condolences to the man’s family and friends.”
