Mounties in North Vancouver say one person was arrested after a police incident in Deep Cove Saturday.

Shortly before 3 p.m. Saturday, police advised the public to avoid the area of Eastridge Road near Lockehaven Road due to an “unfolding police incident.” Three hours later, they posted on social media that the situation was over.

“The unfolding incident has been concluded safely,” they said on X. “One person has been taken into custody.”

“A heavy police presence will remain for the time being,” police posted shortly before 3 p.m.
