Crews responded to a second-alarm fire at a warehouse in south Burnaby on Tuesday.
The Burnaby Fire Department says firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and flame on the roof of a structure on Buller Avenue near Beresford Street.
Deputy Fire Chief Ian Hetherington says 28 crew members attended.
“These can be difficult and time-consuming fires to fight,” said Hetherington in a statement to CityNews.
He says the cause of the fire has been determined to be “accidental in nature.”
The fire was knocked down before 4 p.m.
