Callers to 1130 NewsRadio first reported a train stopped on the rails that run over the intersection of Brunette Avenue and Braid Street around 10:30 a.m.

The train was reported to have started moving again over an hour later at 12 p.m.

Meanwhile, construction in a southbound lane on Braid street also contributed to congestion.

Up north, the start of two weeks of emergency sewer repairs is causing major disruptions on Barnet Highway westbound into Burnaby.
