Girl injured after shooting in Prince George

A teenage girl is in the hospital after being injured by gunshots on Wednesday in Prince George.

RCMP in Prince George say gunfire broke out just after 1 a.m. inside an RV, which was parked at a local encampment.

It’s not yet clear if the girl was actually hit by a bullet.

Mounties are still working to track down a suspect. However, they do not believe there is any risk to the public.

The 15-year old girl is expected to recover from her serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
