Port Moody police investigating road rage incident involving gun

Police are looking for witnesses to a violent road rage incident in Port Moody Thursday afternoon.

The Port Moody Police Department says it was called to the area of St Johns Street (Barnet Highway) near Moray Street around 4 p.m. for reports of an altercation in the westbound lanes.

Officers on scene found a black Acura sedan with a smashed rear window.

“A suspect fled the scene in a grey Honda sedan after allegedly breaking the car window and then pointing a firearm at the other driver,” the PMPD explained Friday.

Investigators are hoping to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident or captured dashcam footage.
