Long delays for Highway 1 through Burnaby, Vancouver due to crash, exit closures

Traffic is messy on Highway 1 through Burnaby and Vancouver Friday morning.

At around 7:15 a.m., a two-car crash happened in the westbound lanes before the Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Bridge. While that crash has since cleared, the area remains clogged.

Traffic is backing up to the east end of the Burnaby Lake stretch.

With two westbound off-ramp closures due to roadwork, traffic will take a long time to recover. Drivers should expect heavy delays.
