Woman dies after crash in Delta

A woman has died after a serious crash in Delta Sunday afternoon, police say.
Officers were called to the intersection of 116 Street and 77A Avenue after a report of a two-vehicle collision just before 12:30 p.m.
CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO 1130 NEWSRADIO VANCOUVER LIVE!“Despite efforts from the Delta Fire Department and BC Paramedics, a 69-year-old female passenger passed away as a result of the collision,” the Delta Police Department said.
Impairment does not appear to be a factor, it said.
Police said 116 Street would be closed between 75A and 80 avenues for several hours.
Any witnesses are asked to call Delta police.
