The Lower Mainland District Joint Force Operation (JFO) says both are charged with the discharge of a firearm with intent and arson in connection with 2024 offences.

According to JFO, it started its investigation into a shooting and arson at the residence of a person who had received extortion threats in Surrey in August 2024.

While Kingra is already in custody for a different incident, Sharma remains at large.

Police issued an additional arrest warrant for Sharma.

Sharma is described as 5’9” (174 cm), 181 lbs (82 kg) with black hair and brown eyes.

“These charges show our commitment to the community, and with a dedicated task force and additional resources, we are in a stronger position to pursue multiple suspect groups and advance investigations toward further charges,” said Chief Superintendent Duncan Pound.

The JFO urges anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
