Many residents reported standstills on roads and blocked intersections by drivers on their way to the warehouse retailer.
Residents say that the traffic has impacted their daily commutes.
“I honestly felt like a hostage in my own home this weekend. The idea of leaving to go in either direction gave me anxiety,” said one Reddit user who lives in the Port Royal area.

“I will avoid this area as much as possible for the next month or so,” said another.
Social media users also point out that the infrastructure in that area was not upgraded to account for the traffic increase.
“They should’ve never allowed it to open there without expanding the Queensborough Bridge,” one Reddit user wrote.
A Costco Business Centre targets business, offering commercial-grade equipment and larger-sized products than a regular Costco Wholesale offers.
