Police are investigating two vehicle fires on a Maple Ridge driveway and gunshots fired at a home.
The Ridge Meadows RCMP says it was called to 227B Street near 127th Avenue shortly after 4:30 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found two vehicles on fire in the driveway of a home. They also found evidence of shots being fired.
“The occupants of the residence were promptly evacuated, and Maple Ridge Fire and Rescue attended to extinguish the fire,” police said.
“No injuries were sustained by any of the occupants of the home.”

Charred remnants of the cars were scraped away as police officers searched the area for evidence to help them determine who shot at least two bullets into the home.
People familiar with the occupants of the home told CityNews the bullets hit a child’s bedroom, with neighbours expressing disbelief that an incident like this could take place on their sleepy suburban Street.
“It has been so quiet for so long, we didn’t expect anything like this to happen. And when I did hear the noises, I had no clue,” resident Rachel said.
“People who are across the street and around us are very on edge.”
Residents told CityNews that they heard somewhere between two and six shots.
“It just makes no sense. I feel like maybe, ‘Did you get the wrong street?’” Rachel added.
Other neighbours say the family living at the targeted house is quiet and well-liked.
They added that, while the community gathered around the burning cars, members of the family were distraught, saying they had no idea why this was happening.
