VPD arrests 61-year-old man in Kitsilano stabbing

Vancouver police have made an arrest after a man was stabbed in the leg in Kitsilano on Saturday. Locals say they are shocked something like this could happen in their neighbourhood. Angelina Ravelli has more.

A 61-year-old man is in police custody after he allegedly stabbed a 41-year-old man in Vancouver’s Kitsilano neighbourhood on Saturday evening.

The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) says that officers responded to reports of a fight shortly after 10 p.m. near Vine Street and West 7th Avenue.

Upon arrival, they located the victim, who sustained a stabbing wound in his leg.

He was transported to the hospital.

Officers arrested the suspect, who remains in custody.

Police are now investigating the incident.
