Police investigating after man critically injured at Richmond park

The Richmond RCMP says it is investigating after a critically injured man was found in Brighouse Neighbourhood Park Sunday morning.

Officers were called to the park, which is located at Granville Avenue and No. 3 Road, around 3 a.m., where they found the man suffering from life-threatening injuries.

He was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Several callers to 1130 NewsRadio reported seeing a heavy police presence in the park Sunday morning, and photos taken at the scene show a white forensic identification tent and police tape in the area.

Police are seeking witnesses and would like to speak to anyone who was in the park between 2:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. and who may have seen or heard anything unusual.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212.
