Joint investigation leads to charges against two people in Lower Mainland

Two people were charged with firearms-related offences after a joint investigation of three police departments in the Lower Mainland.

The Mission RCMP, North Vancouver RCMP, and the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) say that one suspect is facing 18 charges, while the other one is facing 16 charges.

The two suspects, a 49-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman, are residents of North Vancouver and Vancouver, respectively.

Both have been released from custody on release orders, with various conditions. 

Investigators say that a publication ban is in place, which prevents police from releasing additional information.
