The RCMP says a man has been charged in connection with a 2022 double homicide in Penticton.
Thirty-six-year-old Yves “Oliver” Grenier has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of Douglas Barker and Alannah Brown, police say.
The investigation began in September 2022 after firefighters from Summerland found the remains of the two victims near a provincial park close to Penticton.
Police say four people were charged in 2025 in connection with the deaths. Three of these people — Jilane King, Simon Bourbonnais, and Tyler Stuart — were charged in July. Another person was charged in November, according to the BC RCMP.
Both of the victims were 30-year-old Penticton residents, Mounties say.
