The Delta Police Department (DPD) says a motorcycle rider has been taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after a collision with a vehicle.
The crash took place on Scott Road at 71st Avenue on Saturday afternoon.
The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
A video shared with CityNews shows a motorcycle suspended from a traffic light following the crash. Police have not provided information as to how the bike arrived there.
Footage from a surveillance camera appears to show the motorcycle travelling south on Scott Road when it ran into the car, which was turning left into Scottsdale Centre.
The motorcycle appears to have hit the car head-on, and both the rider and the bike were hurled into the air.
According to the video, the rider then lands a short distance away from the intersection. The bike does about three revolutions in mid-air before landing on the metal arm that holds the traffic light above the intersection.
Scott Road was closed between 72nd and 70th avenues while emergency crews cleared the vehicles and debris from the roadway.
