The Metro Vancouver Transit Police (MVTP) says it arrested Pierry Philogène, who was named one of Canada’s 25 Most Wanted earlier this month by the national Be on the Lookout Program (Bolo).
He has been at large since late 2021, when a search warrant was issued by the Montreal Police Service (MPS) in connection with an alleged homicide in Montreal.

“Following a short foot chase, he was arrested with the assistance from Vancouver Police. He remains in custody,” said the MVTP in a statement.
Additionally, transit police say they found Philogène was carrying a fake ID when they searched him after his arrest.
The BC Prosecution Service approved charges for obstruction of a peace officer and possession of identity documents without lawful excuse against the suspect.
The Montreal Police Service accuses Philogène of premeditated murder of Charles-Olivier Boucher Savard on December 22, 2021.
“Through the proactive work of our Crime Suppression Team, we are proud to have taken a wanted fugitive off the streets,” said Const. Amanda Steed.
“Transit police is committed not just to safety on and around the transit system, but that of the greater community as well.”
