Teen motorcyclist dead after crash in Coquitlam

COQUITLAM (NEWS 1130) – A 17-year-old boy is dead after the motorcycle he was riding colliding with a car over the weekend.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at Pinetree Way and David Avenue in Coquitlam as the car was making a left-hand turn.

Police say drugs and alcohol were not involved.

The crash is still under investigation; no charges have been laid.

Mounties are warning drivers that given the nice weather we’ve been having, more motorcyclists will be out on the road.
