Fatal crash on Highway 1 near Kamloops
KAMLOOPS (NEWS 1130) – A driver is dead following a head-on crash between two pickup trucks on the Trans Canada Highway this afternoon west of Kamloops.
It happened just after 1:30 p.m.
RCMP say the driver of one pickup died at the scene, and the four occupants of the other truck were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation. The highway was closed for a while but it has since reopened.
Kamloops Rural RCMP, Central Interior Traffic Services, Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service and the BC Coroners’ Service assisting in the investigation.
