Do British Columbians want to do away with Daylight Saving Time changes?

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The province wants to find out if British Columbians would like to do away with changing their clocks twice a year.

An online survey launched Monday will gather feedback from residents until July 19 at 4 p.m.

Most of B.C. “springs forward” an hour into Daylight Saving Time and “falls back” to Standard Time in the winter, but some U.S. states have recently proposed legislation to do away with the practice and stick to Daylight Saving Time all year round.

In a release, the government of B.C. says Premier John Horgan has reached out to the governors of California, Washington and Oregon to get their take on the possible change.

There are two choices on the survey, which you can fill out here.
