Maple Ridge shooting leaves one dead, another in hospital
A shooting in the heart of Maple Ridge has turned into a homicide investigation Friday.
Mounties say at approximately 8:45 a.m., officers responded to a reports of a shooting near 226 Street and 119 Avenue.
After arriving, RCMP found one man and one woman with gunshot wounds.

“[Both] were transported to hospital by BC Ambulance Services. The man sustained non-life threatening injures, however the woman has since died of her injuries,” said a RCMP statement.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is now heading the investigation.
Investigators are asking to speak with any witnesses who have not already spoken to police or if you have dash camera video, or residential video surveillance.
