The Main Draw will be renamed to the Classic Draw, where the jackpot will always be $5 million. Six numbers will still be drawn from 1 to 49.

The Gold Ball Draw will have a guaranteed winner every time and will win either a guaranteed $1 million prize or the growing jackpot which starts at $10 million dollars.

“If not won, the jackpot will increase by $2 million every draw and can grow to more than $60 million,” the lottery corporation wrote on its website.

Sales for the new format of Lotto 6/49 will begin on September 11, and the final jackpot of the current Lotto 6/49 will not carry over. The final jackpot on September 10 will either be won, or be divided and shared among the winners in lower prize categories.
