Man gets head sliced by machete in unprovoked Chilliwack attack: RCMP
Mounties in Chilliwack are investigating an unprovoked machete attack that took place early Thursday morning.
Police say it happened after 5 a.m. when RCMP received reports of a man who had been cut by a machete.
They say an unknown male sliced the victim’s head with a machete in the area of Meadowbrook Drive.

The 37-year-old victim was taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries. He told police it was an unprovoked attack and he did not know the suspect.
Police say the suspect is around 6′, with a stocky build, and a tanned complexion. He has a tattoo on his right shoulder, which may be a crest or sword.
He was wearing a white tank top, and black and white high top shoes.
“The violent and unprovoked nature of this attack is particularly concerning and Chilliwack RCMP continue to work diligently to identify the suspect,” said Sgt. Krista Vrolyk.
