Delta election results: George Harvie re-elected as mayor

Delta voters have re-elected George Harvie as mayor, CityNews is projecting.

Locals had three mayoral candidates to choose from. In addition to Harvie, Joginder Randhawa and Peter Van der Velden were in the running.

Harvie was first elected as mayor in 2018. He has lived in the community for over four decades. Prior to becoming mayor, Harvie served as Delta’s city manager.

Harvie will serve the community for the next four years alongside six councillors, who have yet to be announced.

Voters are also electing seven school trustees.
