Officers say other witnesses reported the suspect assaulted someone inside the store, with both the victim and suspect fleeing the area.
Police didn’t find anyone matching the descriptions of either the suspect or victim when they arrived.
NWPD Sgt. Justine Thom says the investigation is in its early stages.
“We’re trying to determine the well-being of the person who was assaulted inside the store. We’re also working to determine what the relationship, if any, the victim and the suspect have to one another,” she said.
Investigators are asking anyone who saw what happened or has information to call the NWPD at 604-525-5411.
