Apartment stabbing leaves one dead in North Vancouver, IHIT called

North Vancouver RCMP says one woman has died after a stabbing in North Vancouver Tuesday.

Mounties were called to the Lower Lonsdale area around 11:05 a.m., at an apartment on West 3rd Street and Chesterfield Ave.

According to police, officers found one woman in the apartment with what appeared to be stab wounds. First responders attempted to help the woman but police say she died at the scene.

RCMP arrested a suspected, who is believed to have known the victim.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in to investigate.
