Magnitude 4.0 earthquake near Tofino, B.C. Saturday

There was a 4.0 magnitude earthquake just off Tofino, B.C., Saturday morning.

According to the US Geological Survey, it hit just after 8 a.m. 194 kilometres west of the little surf town.

The depth of the quake was 10 kilometres.

No injuries or damage were reported.

This comes after a pair of earthquakes in and around California in the past few days, with those two registering magnitudes of 3.2 and 4.2.
