BC Ferries launches new app to manage rides
People looking to hop on a ferry can now book tickets, check in, and manage trips easier, as BC Ferries says it has rolled out a new app to help make things smoother.
“Customers can check out our schedules, current conditions, as well as make bookings right from their handheld device,” Executive Director of Public Affairs Deborah Marshall said.
“They can check in right at the terminals with that handheld device and get their up-to-date bookings and all sorts of different information.”

“New designs and personalized travel preferences will enable easier bookings. Customers can quickly jump to the next available sailing with the new Express book feature, and manage existing bookings on-the-go,” the release reads.
Additionally, there is also a push notification setting where customers can get alerts including service notices.
“The app is about giving customers the tools needed to enhance their trip-planning experience through their mobile device,” Janet Carson, the Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience, said.
BC Ferries adds that last year nearly three million bookings were made on the organization’s website, and the app is now available on the App Store or Google Playstore.
